Bedřich Smetana 195th Birthday Celebrates

On this day in 1824, Smetana, born in Litmus of Bohemia, was performing as a pianist when she was six years old. His childhood friend (and future wife) Katarina Kolar helped her to teach piano lessons with composer Joseph Prox.
